Our founder, Christa Leask, recently completed a double Master's in Global Innovation Design, earning both an MA and MSc from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London! Her academic thesis, Designing Stillness: Speculative and Critical Thinking Towards the Wellbeing of People, Society, and Planet, was awarded a distinction and now serves as a valuable resource at the RCA Library.

Christa's major project, VagusVital, uses her innovative Designing Stillness methodology to pioneer a non-invasive solution for long-term disease prevention through short-term stress response management. The concept blends modern tech with more ancient wellness practices. It uses design thinking to build bridges between the medical field of Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) and the ancient practice of Breathwork techniques.

We're thrilled to announce the early stages of this development has been recognised by Innovate UK’s Creative Catalyst fund! This investment will allow Christa and the Material Evolution lab to explore and develop Crafting Stillness through Design…more on that soon 👀

This shift is inspired by our founder's award-winning Master's project and academic thesis: Designing Stillness. She achieved this MA/MSc during the past two years through her study of a Double Masters degree in Global Innovation Design at Royal College of Art and Imperial College London.

Our mission is to create tools, workshops, and experiences that help regulate emotions, nurture calm, and reconnect with the body’s natural balance.

WIP. We are interested in using our technologies for a range of future wearables, here is our ‘Pebble Chameleon Mask’. Would you be interested in owning one of these? We would love your feedback. This mask changes colour with the heat from your breath and UV when exposed to sunlight.
The camouflage print merges with chameleon transformative ability. Changing colour and pattern from grey tones into vibrant colours.
